Trying my hardest to look nonchalant.

Fear

I’ve always had a particular fascination with the human psyche, particularly the dark side of the mind. As such, one of my favourite pastimes growing up was watching those bad serial killer stories late at night. They were always entertaining as the dramatic recreations were particularly bad. However, it had enough creepy music and ambiance to be entertaining, not to mention the occasional shot of some gratuitous violence. Following that was a brief stint into an obsession with Marilyn Manson and his serial killer influences. I showed this to a few of my classmates and most, if not all, found it weird and kinda creepy. In hindsight, probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do anyway.

Funnily enough, rarely did any of that stuff scare me; the Manson videos, the mutilation (although now it seems to affect me a lot more) and the serial killers.

Fears I did have, however, growing up included:

  • A documentary on Michael Jackson’s nose (Still perplexes me to this very day :|
  • The SBS logo screen (That shit scared the hell out of me at the age of 9~?.)
  • People. I might elaborate on this on another day but I had serious issues confronting people growing up. May or may not include a lot of throwing up.
  • The dark.

It’s always fun to look back on your life and laugh.
